Family owned and operated, RealtyUSA was the #1 broker in the state of New York, and ranked 9th in the country. In 2016, Realty USA merged with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services to form America’s 3rd largest real estate company and the #1 independently-owned brokerage in the nation.
In 2014, drone photography was becoming mainstream. She had hired someone to get get video and pictures of the lising, with the idea that they would also make the marketing video. Something fell through, so she had the video footage, but not an edited marketing video.
During my last year of teaching, my kids and I made a music video. Teaching myself how to cut, splice, fade, overlay text, and music had been a LITERAL labor of love. I was so thankful to be able to pull that tool out again and get to work on this new marketing video!
A few days, later, I received a call from Tom Spychalski, the Manager of the local Realty USA offices. He explained that aside from being a manager, he also travels around the country doing marketing videos. He had seen my marketing, and wanted to grab a cup of coffee. We totally hit it off, and he gave me awesome ideas of ways to improve my video.
Though #1 in New York State, Realty USA’s 5 regional offices were stagnant and showing a lack of growth. My focus was to recruit and train new and established agents.
I didn’t have a ton of experience in real estate, thanks to The Power of the Pack, I did have extensive and award winning experience in creating recruiting and training systems.
74% growth in any company is spectacular! But, the #1 Top Dog growing 74% is almost unheard of, and earned me countless quarterly awards.
Tom and I were a powerful team when it came to training, recruiting, managing, and marketing!
Then moved in front of the camera.
When Tom left our company to do marketing full time, I took everything he taught me and started to make it my own!
Soon after releasing this updated version of my island video, I was approached by casting producer of HGTV’s “ Lakefront Bargain Hunt”.
She had very narrow and specific criteria for the buyer demographics and properties. Unfortunately, this area is too small to support what she needed, so we weren't able to take it further.
But it was great, even just being nominated!
